Waxing

The re growth time completely depends on the client. The hairs will usually grow back quicker after the very first wax but will start to take longer the more times you have it done. The hairs tend to get weaker every time you wax.

Every client has a different pain threshold. Waxing isn’t completely painless but does tend to get less painful the more you have it done as the hairs get weaker and come out easier.  

Wear lose clothing and shower/bathe in luke warm water, not hot water. Don’t touch the area for a few hours after waxing. Bacteria from the hands can get into the open pores after waxing, causing irritation / spots (especially on the face) 

Do not apply any products to the waxed area for 12 hours. Avoid sunbeds, swimming, sauna /hot tub for 24 hours after waxing. Avoid make up on the face after any facial wax for 24 hours. 

Leave the skin oil / moisture free on the day of your appointment. Avoid body creams that morning. Use a gentle body scrub every other day for a week leading up to your appointment, to help lift any hairs under the skin.

This is a completely normal reaction to any waxing. The skin can become red and slightly raised bumps can appear, especially on the legs. This should all settle down within 24 hours.

We would recommend 2 days or more before going to a hot country. This time frame will allow the skin to settle and heal before sun exposure.

The hairs need to be at least half a cm long. If they’re too short they can break away rather than coming out from the root, meaning the area could still feel prickly after your wax/ the hairs will seem to grow back faster.
